The Directory of Mail Order Catalogs?2006 Edition

The Directory of Mail Order Catalogs—2006 Edition

Minneapolis, MN (PRWEB) January 27, 2006

The Directory of Mail Order Catalogs reflects over twenty years of in-depth, cumulative research. The growth and continued success of this resource, along with its sister publication The Directory of Business-to-Business Catalogs, reinforces the National Mail Order Association’s recent predictions, that mail order companies who use electronic products as a supplement, rather than a replacement for print catalogs, will surpass those companies that limit their sales exclusively to the Internet. The latest statistics show catalog sales to be $ 125.7 billion, and are expected to inflate to $ 163.1 billion in the next two years. Of that total, the consumer catalog sector anticipates an increase of nearly 30%, over $ 99 billion.

This brand new 2006 edition provides up-to-date, unique, hard-to-find data, all in a single volume. The detailed listings include only catalogs that are offered in print—totaling almost 10,500 entries, organized into 43 chapters and 220 sub-chapters. Each listing provides not only basic contact information (phone, fax, address, web site, email) but also other important company data, such as company size, type of products offered, number of pages in the catalog, and frequency of mailing. Plus, the entries include printing and binding methods, annual sales, average order size, and names of key executives. The amount of information contained here, and the user-friendly format of The Directory of Mail Order Catalogs, saves hours of research time and effort for its users.

Several significant aspects of The Directory of Mail Order Catalogs are vastly improved in this edition. Hundreds of obsolete listings have been deleted, and new mail order catalogs have been added. Existing listings have been updated, with new contact data, product descriptions, sales and marketing figures, subscription information, and physical characteristics.

Organized first into chapters and subchapters by type of products offered, and then alphabetically within each subchapter, this 2006 edition makes it easy to locate specific mail order companies and their products.

Four easy-to-use cross-referenced indexes will put this vast array of information at the user’s fingertips immediately. The Catalog & Company Name Index includes each listing in alphabetical order; the Geographical Index organizes the companies by state; the Web Site Index, arranged by category, provides access to companies with web sites; the Product Index was greatly enhanced to include over 3,000 major categories and more than 4,000 sub-categories, aiding quick research for specific products.

The Directory of Mail Order Catalogs is the perfect sales and lead generation tool for marketing all types of products and services. The Directory of Mail Order Catalogs, 2006 Soft-cover 1,408 pages, 10,330 listings.

The directory, priced at $ 250.00, is available for purchase online at: http://www.nmoa.org/catalog/mailorderdir.htm

This philosophy is paying off: retailers are equally enthusiastic about “going green,” and the selection of online catalogs expands weekly.

“The online catalogs version of Catalogs.com is a totally green, environmentally conscious place for shoppers to find everything they want, from gourmet chocolate to home décor — and an extensive selection of gift ideas,” says Leslie Linevsky, co-founder of Catalogs.com. “We want to encourage populate to go green by making it easy and fun to shop online. Saving covering and fuel are very obvious ways that online catalogs reduce our carbon footprint.”

Catalogs.com leveraged advancements in HTML5 to develop and implement the interactive desktop catalog concept. The HTML5 programming language makes many of the dynamic features associated with older software, like Flash, possible without requiring the plug-ins or downloads that may have confused computer users in the past. For example, HTML5 makes the online catalogs on Catalogs.com emanate alive with the motion of turning paging.

“Promoting environmental sustainability by leveraging web development innovations plays an important role in Catalogs.com’s commitment to influencing how people address environmental issues,” adds Linevsky. “We are looking for green ways to enjoy online shopping, like flipping through catalogs for Valentine’s Day gift ideas. Individual acts make a big difference – if online catalogs inspires people to think about the environment while they shop, Catalogs.com can have a marked and positive influence on sustainable green behavior.”

The price cuts are for compiled direct mailing lists and National Change of Address services (NCOA) and went into effect on March 9, 2009. Mailing Lists Direct is now offering a $ 50.00 minimum order size on compiled mailing lists for qualified list resellers. NCOA minimum order size starts at just $ 25.00.

There are also new discounts being offered for other services – Consumer Mailing Lists (starting at $ 14 per thousand records) and Business Mailing Lists (starting at $ 20 per thousand records). Mailing Lists Direct will waive all email output and delivery fees as part of these new prices.

“We realize that many of our clients are struggling with lower profit margins and lower average order sizes for some of our mailing lists. We’ve been working with our suppliers to decrease costs on every level and I’ve been extremely pleased with the results. Because of this effort, we’re now capable to pass significant savings along to our clients,” said Paul Theriot, President Mailing Lists Direct.

Not only will the new price aiding existing customers continue marketing despite tighter budgets, but it will open possibilities for smaller businesses who haven’t tried direct mail. The economy is hurt service businesses who find they need to offer more aggressively to maintain and grow their client base.

“Service businesses that people consider “extras” are really being affected by the economy right now. Mailing Lists Direct wants to help these businesses reach more households. We offer direct mailing lists so you can target certain groups such as the more affluent households who are still spending,” notes Theriot. Other specialty lists help professionals target their advertising and grow their business.

DirectMail.com Adds HP Indigo to Meet Growing Demand for Variable Digital Printing

Prince Frederick, MD (PRWEB) May 1, 2008

DirectMail.com, a leading direct mail and data services provider, has acquired Hewlett Packard’s HP Indigo technology for creating dynamic, high-quality customer messaging. With HP’s leading digital printing technology, DirectMail.com can produce messaging that is completely dynamic and data driven, with the quality of traditional offset printing.

A Realtor, for example, could print and mail postcards to prospects showing dynamic pictures of homes that are currently for sale in the recipients’ neighborhood. Or a local store could customize a mail piece with product images that match a particular customer’s buying preference.

“Today’s successful marketers know that ‘relevance’ is everything when it comes to direct mail,” mentioned DirectMail.com partner Kirk Swain. “The closer you can get to an one-to-one dialogue, the more likely you are to make that sale, get that member, or collect that donation.

“With the extensive consumer and business data we have on hand for targeting mailing lists, plus the digital print capabilities of the Indigo, we can do some pretty amazing things,” said Swain.

In addition to using the technology to provide high quality output for its existing print business, Swain said DirectMail.com also plans to launch a state of the art web-to-print system on its website, “making online, lights-out ordering of direct mail campaigns a reality for every large and small business.”

The new web-to-print system will be tightly integrated with the company’s popular GeoSelector™ list selection and data mapping tool, which will give users both sophisticated audience targeting and digital production in one simple process: mailing list, then printing and mailing.

Direct Pharmacy Service Opens New Mail Order Pharmacy Facility; Increases Fulfillment Capacity to 40,000 Prescriptions per Day

Direct Pharmacy Service Opens New Mail Order Pharmacy Facility; Increases Fulfillment Capacity to 40,000 Prescriptions per Day

Hollywood FL (PRWEB) August 18, 2006

The Hollywood, Florida location features a 35,000 square foot mail order pharmacy with employees in customer service, pharmacy and operations support. Customers of DPSI are provided with a full range of services, including a 24-hour pharmacist, an interactive voice response (IVR) system to obtain refills, and customer service to provide patients with prescription and account information around the clock.

DPSI possesses the Optifill high-capacity, state-of-the-art mail order pharmacy equipment designed to fulfill 40,000 prescriptions per day and has acquired the operation of a successful, drive-through pharmacy which currently serves the Seminole residents in the surrounding area. To better serve customers and clients, DPSI has expanded their fulfillment operations to include South Florida. This operational enhancement is necessary due to an increased demand for their mail order pharmacy services resulting from the alliances that DPSI has with major prescription benefit management companies.

With this latest development, DPSI has catapulted itself to the forefront of the growing mail order pharmacy sector. With lower overhead costs, bulk purchasing and fewer dispensing errors, mail order pharmacy can provide cost savings of 10-40% over traditional brick and mortar pharmacies. Corporations nationwide are really beginning to catch on to this growing trend in an effort to save on their employee benefit costs.

Mail order pharmacy translates into savings for businesses and consumers alike. Patients with chronic health conditions requiring monthly medications benefit tremendously from the ability to obtain a three month supply for one co-payment versus the 30-day supply provided by most retail outlets.

Mail order pharmacies also offer ease and convenience to consumers purchasing prescriptions. For patients, accessing the services of DPSI is easy. First, a member or physician submits a prescription to the DPSI Mail Order Pharmacy for up to a 90-day medication supply via fax, mail or phone. Then, the prescription information is entered into the computer system, processed and the prescription is filled. Finally, the prescription is packaged and shipped to the patient.

Lanham, Maryland based DPSI, a privately held company, provides mail order prescription benefit services to members of large and small employer groups such as federal, state, and local governments; health plans, and national and local corporations. By offering efficient and accurate home delivery of prescriptions, the company is a cost effective, safe, and convenient alternative to retail pharmacies. The company is a member of the Florida Regional Minority Business Development Council and holds certification as a Small Disadvantaged Business (SDB) under the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) guidelines. The company holds certifications as a Minority/Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (MBE/DBE) within the states of Maryland and Tennessee and is a MBE member of the National Minority Supplier Development Council.
