Parcel Post Truck and Carrier

Description: City carrier delivering packages inside the snow. The carrier’s car was designated to carry parcels just, not letter send. By 1949, the post-World War II boom forced send volumes to unprecedented heights. A big piece of the heighten was inside parcels, because growing families looked to send purchase catalogs for more plus more of their home goods. Before city carriers were assigned cars to carry both parcel plus letter send simultaneously, parcel post deliveries were created individually.
